Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data-driven Merchandising Analyst to support execution of merchandising strategies across multiple sales channels and coordinate assortment projects aligned with the product roadmap. You will gather market insights, partner with cross-functional teams, and ensure accurate showrooms and online messaging.

The role requires 4–6 years in product development or merchandising, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with Smartsheet, Business Objects, and M3.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 4–6 years in product development, merchandising, assortment planning, or business analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into insights and recommendations.
  • Working knowledge of product lifecycle and assortment planning principles.
  • Developing project management capabilities with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Smartsheet and Business Objects.
  • Demonstrated initiative in process improvement.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with PLM/ERP systems preferred; M3 a plus.
  • Experience in luxury, premium, or design-driven consumer products preferred.
  • Smartsheet experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support execution of merchandising strategies across sales channels.
  • Coordinate assigned assortment projects and initiatives.
  • Support assortment optimization and rationalization aligned with the product roadmap.
  • Gather showroom, channel, and market insights for recommendations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align assortments with brand standards and go-to-market priorities.
  • Coordinate digital merchandising deliverables and visual asset needs, including Cylindo project management.
  • Ensure showroom and online merchandising accuracy, including pricing and product messaging.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly sales performance reports using Business Objects and internal dashboards.
  • Analyze sales trends, margin, inventory, and lifecycle data.
  • Track post-launch performance and elevate risks or opportunities.
  • Track competitor assortments, launches, pricing, positioning, and innovations across channels.
  • Synthesize performance data, competitive insights, and market feedback into product insights.
  • Manage assigned merchandising and assortment workstreams, timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional inputs.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps, escalating as needed.
  • Prepare data and competitive context for Product Manager review.
  • Maintain accurate product data in M3 and reporting systems.
  • Contribute to refinement and adoption of tools including the Fittings Control Center and Center of Truth.
  • Coordinate field communications with Channel Operations.
