A leading global provider of medical compression solutions is seeking an Associate Product Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of flat-knit compression garments designed for patients with lymphedema and lipedema.
This position will help develop and execute market-driven strategies for the company’s custom compression business. The Associate Product Manager will be responsible for existing product performance, new product launches, market research, competitive analysis, product positioning, sales support, and overall product profitability.
The position is based in Peachtree City, Georgia. Travel of approximately 20% to 30% is required, including 1-2 international trips per year is likely.
Key Responsibilities
Market Research and Analysis
- Research market conditions, clinical developments, customer needs, reimbursement considerations, and competitive activity.
- Identify market trends, product opportunities, and unmet customer needs.
- Gather and analyze Voice of Customer feedback from clinicians, patients, customers, and the sales organization.
- Create monthly product dashboards and turn performance data into actionable recommendations.
- Evaluate market penetration, product lifecycle, pricing, profitability, and cost-reduction opportunities.
- Support business plans for new products and product improvements.
Product Planning and Management
- Serve as the product and market expert for assigned product categories.
- Manage product performance throughout each stage of the product lifecycle.
- Create and manage timelines for product development and commercialization projects.
- Support the development of pricing strategies, sales forecasts, product positioning, and go-to-market plans.
- Work with Product Development, Research and Development, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Operations, Purchasing, and Marketing.
- Monitor customer feedback and elevate product performance concerns to the appropriate technical and engineering teams.
- Coordinate with global product, marketing, and manufacturing teams.
- Support custom product processes and help improve the overall customer experience.
Product Launches and Commercialization
- Assist with the planning and execution of new product launches.
- Develop value propositions, product messaging, launch plans, and sales tools.
- Coordinate cross-functional launch activities and ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Track the performance of newly launched products and recommend adjustments.
- Help identify key customers, clinical partners, and industry thought leaders who can support product adoption.
Sales and Customer Support
- Work closely with field sales representatives and clinical specialists to support product adoption and utilization.
- Participate in field rides, customer meetings, product demonstrations, conferences, and educational events.
- Develop and present product training for sales teams, clinicians, and customers.
- Assist sales leadership in identifying and developing internal product champions.
- Provide frontline support for customer questions, product troubleshooting, and process improvement.
Product Marketing
- Develop product marketing plans and campaigns that increase awareness and demand.
- Partner with Marketing Communications, Medical Education, Sales Training, Creative Design, and Global Marketing.
- Create sales tools, presentations, training materials, product literature, and customer-facing content.
- Support conferences, trade shows, focus groups, educational programs, and key customer events.
- Ensure that product messaging is accurate, consistent, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, management, engineering, life sciences, or a related field required.
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- Two to three years of experience in product management, brand management, marketing, or a related business function.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or leading a product launch.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using market data, customer feedback, and financial information to make product recommendations.
- Strong project management skills and experience developing timelines.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Confidence presenting to customers, clinicians, sales teams, and larger audiences.
- Experience with CRM platforms and Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to work effectively across sales, marketing, operations, technical, and leadership teams.
- Experience in healthcare, medical devices, clinical markets, reimbursement, or regulated products is preferred.
- Familiarity with FDA, HIPAA, or ISO requirements is a plus.
- Ability to travel approximately 20% to 30%.
