Job summary

Watts Water Technologies is seeking an innovative Associate Product Manager to support the Product Management team with monthly and quarterly financial tracking, new product development coordination, customer support, and field presence at trade shows. The role is onsite in North Andover, MA with hybrid work options and extensive stakeholder collaboration.

You will manage NPD data, build dashboards (PowerBI), and provide ongoing financial projections to drive growth for new product launches.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or business administration or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in the flow control industry with understanding of valve applications and fluid mechanics/electro‑mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge of sales channels – distribution, contractor, end‑user, specifying engineers, etc.
  • Power BI proficiency and advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills.
  • Willingness to travel 15–20%.

Responsibilities

  • Understand product portfolio, gaps, and collaborate with stakeholders to develop user-friendly solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain competitive intelligence and market penetration databases.
  • Manage stage gate process for NPD initiatives; update databases and build business cases.
  • Interact with customers to assess development needs and opportunities.
  • Develop score cards and slide decks for monthly/ quarterly reviews, and provide data-driven insights.

Watts is looking for an innovative Associate Product Manager that will provide daily and ongoing product and project support to the Product Management team including monthly and quarterly financial sales and margin tracking and analysis, new product development interdepartmental project interface, customer support and quotation assistance, Sales group assistance as it relates to product issues, and field support at trade shows and where needed to support product lines. This position reports to the Sr. Product Manager. This role is onsite and is based in North Andover, MA.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Understand product portfolio, gaps, and work with different stakeholders to determine the best approach on developing user‑friendly solutions
  • Design, develop, track and update competitive intelligence and market penetration database.
  • Manage stage gate process for New Product Development (NPD) initiatives Updating databases, collecting requests for product requirements and creating foundations for business cases.
  • Interact with customers to assess product development needs, provide follow‑up, and gage product development opportunities.
  • Develop Score Card and related slides for NPD PowerPoint slide deck, submit monthly to be presented.
  • Develop dashboards for Product Team to manage analytics, providing “deep dives” into data, becoming the “PowerBI Expert”.
  • Manage projects with Engineering and Product Development ensuring product launch is on time and on budget.
  • Provide financial projections, commitments for growth for new products launches.
  • Lead training sessions to educate customers on products strategy.
  • Lead/drive a close and effective cross‑functional team dynamic.
  • Create product documentation and sales collateral for sales and technical presentations.
  • Travel required for learning and understanding the Voice of the Customer (VOC).
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or business administration or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the flow control industry with the ability to understand valve applications and a related level of understanding of fluid mechanics and electro‑mechanical equipment.
  • Possesses knowledge of sales channels – distribution, contractor, end‑user, specifying engineers, etc.
  • Project Management-Product Analyst skill set.
  • Believes in customer‑centric and data‑driven product design processes.
  • Ability and desire to learn quickly new business systems including PowerBI Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Commercial / Residential plumbing related to pressure reducing products and applications desired.
  • Voice‑of‑Customer: data collection, dissemination, and reporting a plus.
  • Multi‑tasking skills a must.
  • Travel 15‑20% General Applicable

Working Conditions

While performing the job duties, you will be working in an office environment. You will be required to work in the office at the North Andover, MA location three days per week (Monday – Wednesday) and can work remotely two days per week (Thursday and Friday).

Physical Requirements

Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to: Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods. Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls. Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers. Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.

Pay Range

Pay Range: The expected salary range for this position is $92,000-104,000 yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law. Nothing in this job description restricts Watts’ right to assign or reassign duties, responsibilities, and working hours/conditions to this position at any time. This position is “at will,” which means that either the employee or Watts may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without notice, and for any lawful reason.
