Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking a Product Engineer-Associate for our Summerville, SC location. You will direct/perform design and development of steam turbine products and components within contract requirements and cost targets.

The role requires thermodynamics, machine design and collaboration across engineering teams to deliver robust, cost-effective solutions. Expect 5%–15% travel and growth opportunities within a global leader.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, BS Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Aero Engineering discipline and 3-5 years of experience in the steam turbine or related industry.
• Ability to create UG drawings, 3-D models.
• Experience in managing projects and working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct studies and investigations to determine feasibility of designs for turbine applications.
• Define product design requirements per contract requirements and compute performance.
• Analyze test results to evaluate performance, design quality and operating deficiencies.
• Develop standard performance curves and calculation procedures to assist marketing in quoting products.
• Coordinate with other engineering areas to meet contractual requirements.
• Conduct product improvement programs to reduce costs and improve performance.
• Investigate field problems and provide corrective actions.
