Job summary

Curtiss-Wright SAS in Summerville, SC seeks a Lead Product Engineer to guide lifecycle strategy and drive high-impact engineering initiatives. You will align performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost with long-term business needs while leading cross-functional teams from concept to high-volume production.

The role requires DoD eligibility, strong communication and leadership skills, and the ability to mentor engineers while shaping roadmaps and investment priorities.

Qualifications

• 12–15+ years of progressive design engineering experience with significant leadership responsibility across product development, manufacturing, or systems integration.
• US citizen due to DoD requirements.
• Ability to obtain DoD security clearances and approvals.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define product strategy and engineering direction across major programs.
• Lead cross-functional teams to meet cost, quality, and performance targets.
• Guide enterprise-level reviews, technology selections, and process frameworks.
• Mentor Lead and Senior Engineers and support talent development.
• Represent product engineering in customer, regulatory, and executive engagements.
