Job summary

Kautex is seeking an Associate Engineer in Product Development for the CBU program in Troy, MI. You will develop customer products from concept through prototyping, validation and into mass production, coordinating with design, manufacturing and suppliers.

You will manage requirements, risk, and ensure specs, cost targets, timing goals, and customer acceptance. Travel may be required to support regional activities and technical leadership across KT technologies.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in mechanical/electrical/mechatronics or equivalent.
• Mechatronics/mechanical system design and automotive knowledge.
• Business English mandatory; other languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer products from concept through prototyping, validation and mass production.
• Ensure requirements, risk management, and design-to-manufacture targets are met.
• Act as technical liaison between product teams and the customer and internal functions.
• Lead testing and interpretation of results; implement actions to meet specs.
• Provide product engineering support during customer visits and audits.

Education

Degree in Mechanical or Electronical Engineering, Mechatronics or a comparable education
