Kautex in Troy, MI is seeking a 2027 Internship in Quality Engineering to support product quality and manufacturing processes during the internship. You will engage in customer concerns, PPAP preparation, action tracking, and updates to Customer Control Plans.

Responsibilities include attending quality meetings, driving corrective actions, and applying IATF requirements while collaborating with manufacturing teams. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Systems Management or other related discipline.
• Preference given to candidates who possess skills in Data Integration, Software Development, Thermal Management, and Materials Science.
• Previous manufacturing experience an asset.
• Microsoft application skills.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills required.

Responsabilités

• Provide action to customer concerns, rejected material review analysis and reporting.
• Attend product focus team meetings.
• Prepare PPAP paperwork, sample preparation and follow up.
• Review and update Customer Control Plans.
• Communicate customer concerns within facility; corrective action reporting.
• Understand IATF system requirements.

What awaits you:

• Customer Contact - Provide action to customer concerns, rejected material review analysis and reporting, attendance at product focus team meetings, evaluate initial tooling layouts, preparation of PPAP paperwork, sample preparation and follow up, review and update Customer Control Plans, communication of customer concerns within facility, corrective action reporting
• Quote Process - Review weight calculation for quote process
• General - Process sheet review and updates, record keeping, engineering change review, audit quality system, engineering or technical support for manufacturing problems, capability studies and gage studies
• Attend internal and external quality meetings
• Authority to investigate, assess and report on any nonconforming process or product
• Implement corrective actions or preventative actions for customer issues
• Understanding of IATF system requirements
