Job summary

Disney Cruise Line - The Walt Disney Company seeks an Associate Product Designer with an apparel/graphic design background to lead a specific range of softlines products. This role reports to the Manager, Product Design and sits onsite in Glendale, CA or Orlando, FL.

You will collaborate with internal and external partners to design, develop, and present trend-right consumer lines while monitoring market dynamics and ensuring brand equity.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of related experience.
• Solid knowledge in softlines categories (materials, textiles, print, pattern, graphic composition).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid negotiating skills.

Responsibilities

• Concept, design, sketch, prototype (fit sessions, production art), deliver and present trend-right consumer lines.
• Develop mock-ups, compile line sheets, layout presentations and retail pitch decks.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to design and approve all products.
• Monitor competitors, product innovation and market dynamics.
• Research initial seasonal trends by category.
• Multi-task and prioritize multiple design projects within deadlines.
