Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. in Pullman, WA is hiring an Associate Compliance Engineer to ensure product safety and regulatory compliance. You will work in a state-of-the-art facility, review documentation, and perform safety tests while growing with an employee-owned company.

The role offers a chance to mentor technicians and develop procedures aligned with ISO 17025 and other safety standards, supporting SEL’s trusted product compliance efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of product compliance and engineering practices.
• Experience with common test equipment and testing practices.
• Self-starter with excellent written and verbal skills.
• Knowledge of compliance areas: UL, CSA, IEC, CE.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain understanding of product safety standards and requirements.
• Provide basic technical assistance to SEL product groups.
• Create pristine product safety procedures and reports.
• Review test documentation per ISO 17025 and other standards.
• Perform safety type tests as needed.
• Provide mentorship for Product Compliance and R&D technicians.
