Job summary

Cirto Gray Associates LLC in Los Angeles seeks a senior structural engineer to lead complex projects, build trusted client relationships, mentor teams, and steer the West Coast practice.

You will oversee investigations, seismic analyses, repairs and rehabilitation of existing structures, deliver clear reports and designs, and help grow the firm through recruitment and industry involvement; the hybrid role offers an equity pathway and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Active California Structural Engineer (SE) license required; PE with ability to obtain CA SE licensure considered.
• Master’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 15 years of relevant structural engineering experience, combining technical delivery and project management.
• Experience may include structural failure or damage investigations, non-destructive evaluation, instrumentation, seismic analysis, and repair/rehabilitation of existing structures.
• Background in advising on specialist structural systems or materials from design through construction is highly valued.
• Strong technical, visual, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex engineering issues clearly to clients and stakeholders.

• Deliver clear, authoritative reports, designs, and recommendations that clients can act on.
• Provide senior-level review, oversight, and mentoring to strengthen project quality.
• Lead field investigations and share practical expertise with developing engineers.
• Help grow the structural engineering practice through mentoring, technical training, recruitment, and industry involvement.

Cirto Gray has been a long-standing recruitment partner of a nation-leading AEC firm that has been at the forefront of the of the forensics and design space for decades, and they are seeking a proficient, skilled and business acute senior-level structural engineer in their Los Angeles office.

• Strong technical, visual, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex engineering issues clearly to clients and project stakeholders.
• $140,000 - $190,000 - determined through the respective candidate's qualifications, skills, licenses, and seniority level
