Job description

MAVERIQ is a private multi-family office serving a select group of families and entrepreneurs. We combine exceptional people, personalized service, and differentiated investment access to operate as an extension of each family’s team. Our relationships, specialized networks, and understanding of each family’s priorities allow us to deliver thoughtful, highly tailored solutions.

Work You’ll Do:

We are seeking an Associate to join our Portfolio Management team in a client-facing role spanning investment support, family office execution, and relationship management. The ideal candidate combines financial sophistication, strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and close attention to detail to support clients, their families, and trusted advisors across investment portfolios, cash management, financial planning, and the broader needs of complex family wealth. You will build a deep understanding of each family’s circumstances and priorities, anticipate needs, and coordinate thoughtful solutions – whether supporting an investment recommendation, managing a complex financial transaction, or resolving a time-sensitive client request. Success in this role means becoming a trusted partner known for responsive service, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through.

Key Responsibilities:
Client & Family Relationships
  • Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients, family members, and trusted advisors.
  • Develop strong relationships by understanding each family's financial circumstances, priorities, and multi-generational objectives.
  • Anticipate client needs, identify potential issues, and coordinate timely solutions through completion.
  • Communicate clearly with clients and advisors, ensuring timely execution and consistent follow-through.
  • Support portfolio management activities, including investment implementation, portfolio monitoring, rebalancing, and management of liquidity needs.
  • Assist with investment proposals, asset allocation analysis, portfolio reviews, and preparation of client investment materials.
  • Coordinate subscriptions, capital calls, distributions, and other public and private investment transactions.
  • Work closely with investment professionals, custodians, and external partners to ensure accurate and timely execution.
  • Assist with concentrated stock positions, 10b5-1 plans, portfolio transitions, and other complex investment matters.
Family Office Execution & Wealth Planning
  • Manage day-to-day family office activities, including cash management, banking, account openings, transfers, bill payments, and tax payments.
  • Coordinate financial activities across trusts, partnerships, investment entities, and family members.
  • Collaborate with accountants, attorneys, trustees, and other advisors on estate planning, gifting, philanthropy, and wealth transfer initiatives.
  • Support lending arrangements, major purchases, liquidity events, and other significant financial decisions.
  • Lead complex client requests and projects, coordinating resources through accurate and timely completion.
Team Collaboration & Operational Excellence
  • Work closely with senior advisors and specialists to deliver coordinated investment and family office solutions.
  • Maintain accurate client records, documentation, and activity tracking across firm systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, technology, and the overall client experience.
  • Contribute sound judgment and a collaborative approach to a high-performing team.
Who We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 4–8 years of relevant experience in portfolio management, family office services, private wealth management, registered investment advisory firms, private banking, or a comparable environment
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families
  • Strong understanding of investment accounts, portfolio management concepts, custodial platforms, banking, and cash management
  • Working knowledge of trust and estate planning, tax coordination, philanthropy, and multi-generational wealth planning
  • Proven ability to manage complex financial and operational matters with accuracy, accountability, and follow-through
  • Exceptional communication, relationship management, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the judgment and discretion required to protect confidentiality and deliver exceptional client service.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, financial technology, and Microsoft Office
What You Bring:
  • Client-Centric: You build trust through responsive, reliable, and thoughtful communication.
  • Accountable: You take ownership, pay attention to detail, and believe no task is too small when delivering exceptional service.
  • Proactive and Resourceful: You anticipate needs and solve problems with initiative and sound judgment.
  • Financially Curious: You enjoy learning about investments, financial planning, estate structures, and the complexities of family wealth.
  • Collaborative and Adaptable: You remain composed under pressure and contribute wherever needed.
How You’ll Grow:

Associates will have opportunities to deepen client relationships, expand their investment and planning expertise, and assume increasing responsibility for complex family office initiatives. With demonstrated success, individuals may progress into senior advisory roles with broader portfolio management, client relationship, and leadership responsibilities.

Total Rewards:
