Job summary

ProHealth Physicians, part of UnitedHealth Group, has an immediate opening for an Associate Patient Care Coordinator to support the care team by greeting patients, checking in/out, scheduling, and handling inquiries using the EHR.

The role may float to local practices; 8-hour shift 7:30am-5:15pm at 599 Farmington Ave, Farmington, CT. Requires HS diploma and 1+ year experience; benefits include comprehensive packages.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 1+ year receptionist or customer service experience.
  • Intermediate level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct check-in and check-out process
  • Answer incoming calls and use EHR to document details of patient inquiries
  • Conduct outreach to patients requiring appointments or service follow-up
  • Schedule appointments using standard scheduling protocols
  • Manage administrative in-basket pools and work queues
  • Scan documents into the EHR per standard protocols
  • Take payments
  • Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information
  • Provide coverage at other ProHealth locations on an ad hoc basis
  • Perform other duties as assigned

ProHealth Physicians has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient-focused and detail-orientedAssociate Patient Care Coordinator to join our growingFamily Medicine team.

This position will support the care team and its patients by greeting and checking in patients, scheduling appointments, answering telephone inquiries, collecting payments and maintaining demographic information. Additionally, they will routinely use the electronic health record (EHR) according to ProHealth policies and standard workflows.

May be asked to float to local practices in the region for coverage depending on business need.

Schedule:

8-hour shift between the hours of 7:30am - 5:15pm. Schedule to be determined upon hire.

Primary Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1+ year of receptionist or customer service experience
  • Intermediate level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Experience working with Epic
  • Comfortable Multitasking

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
