Job summary

Optum is seeking an Associate Patient Care Coordinator to greet and check in patients, schedule appointments, and manage daily front-desk operations. You will document inquiries in the EHR, balance payments, and support the care team with outreach and coordination across ProHealth locations.

The role requires at least 1 year in a receptionist or customer service role and solid MS Office skills. Epic experience is a plus, with a comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of receptionist or customer service experience.
  • Intermediate level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients and schedule appointments.
  • Answer incoming calls and document patient inquiries in the EHR.
  • Conduct outreach to patients for appointments or follow-up.
  • Manage administrative in-basket pools and work queues.
  • Scan documents into the EHR per standard protocols.
  • Balance payments and prepare deposits.
  • Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality.
  • Provide coverage at other ProHealth locations as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Monday from 9:30am to 6:00pm, Tuesday - Friday from 9:00am to 5:30pm

Support the care team and its patients by greeting and checking in patients, scheduling appointments, answering telephone inquiries, collecting payments and maintaining demographic information. Routinely use the electronic health record (EHR) according to ProHealth policies and standard workflows.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Conduct check-in and check-out process
  • Answer incoming calls and use EHR to document details of patient inquiries
  • Conduct outreach to patients requiring appointments or service follow-up
  • Manage administrative in-basket pools and work queues
  • Scan documents into the EHR per standard protocols
  • Balance payments and prepare deposits
  • Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information
  • Provide coverage at other ProHealth locations on an ad hoc basis
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of receptionist or customer service experience
  • Intermediate level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Experience working in a primary care setting

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
