Job summary

The Women’s Hospital of Texas, part of HCA Healthcare Pathology Services, is seeking an Associate Pathologist. The role covers a busy hospital pathology service with weekday coverage, on-call duties, and supported by a pathology team.

Candidates should have AP/CP board certification, state licensure eligibility, and strong interpersonal and leadership skills to manage a large group and ensure excellent patient care. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• AP/CP board certification required.
• Texas licensed or ability to obtain license.
• Available to new graduates.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and experience managing a large group.

Responsibilities

• Three pathologists cover the hospital onsite on weekdays; total ~11,000 surgicals.
• Weekday call 6pm–7am; one in four pathologists on call weekly.
• Weekend calls across four hospitals; long weekends distributed.
• Offsite frozen sections scheduled by hospital staff.
• Frozen sections: 10–15 intraoperative calls per month; assisted by PA & Histology staff.
