Job summary

Houston Methodist Pathology Associates in Houston, Texas, is seeking an experienced, full-time AP/CP or AP board-certified pathologist with broad general pathology expertise for an outlying hospital position. Qualifications

Experienced Pathologist

Houston Methodist Pathology Associates, Houston, Texas

is seeking an experienced, full-time AP/CP or AP Board-certified pathologist with broad general expertise for a position at one of our outlying hospitals. Candidates with subspecialty training in surgical pathology or other subspecialty areas in anatomic pathology are especially encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate must be committed to excellence in patient care. The individual will be part of a large, very collegial pathology group practice that provides diagnostic services to all hospitals in the Houston Methodist Hospital System (HMHS). The successful candidate will have a proven track record of providing outstanding diagnostic service, and of working very effectively with departmental colleagues and other medical staff members, laboratory technical personnel, and hospital administration.

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO (or equivalent) and Board certification in AP/CP or AP.
• A minimum of three years of independent diagnostic experience.

About Us

Methodist Pathology Associates is the exclusive provider of pathology services for the HMHS and currently has 90 faculty and 40 trainees. The HMHS has eight hospitals (approximately 2,700 beds) in the Houston area. Our outlying hospitals continue to expand, and a new hospital tower in the Texas Medical Center will add 400 beds in 2027.

HMHS has a primary academic affiliation with Weill Cornell Medical College, and the successful candidate may be eligible for a faculty appointment.
