Job summary

LensCrafters in New York is seeking an Associate Optometrist to lead clinical care and patient experience. You will perform optic examinations, coordinate with the MOD and store team, and support medical and surgical care as needed.

The role requires Doctor of Optometry, commitment to patient care, and strong communication. This is a casual part-time position with a focus on delivering exceptional eyecare in a dynamic, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and listening skills are required.
• Experience with medical optometry, including billing and coding.
• Knowledge of surgical care and practices pertaining to optometry.
• Up-to-date knowledge of optometric theory and technology.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the optometry team in delivering brand promise and patient experience.
• Collaborate with MOD, SMM, and store team to achieve KPIs.
• Provide high-quality optometric care to patients.
• Support medical practice, referral care, and pre/post-op surgical care as applicable.
• Maintain licensure and continuing education requirements.
• Train and guide team members on company programs.
• Deliver constructive feedback and foster a positive office culture.
