Job summary

Long Vision Center in Sherman, Texas is seeking an Associate Optometrist to join a well-established practice with deep roots in the community and a long-standing reputation for trusted, patient-centered eye care.

You will work 24 to 30 hours per week, performing eye exams, diagnosing and managing conditions, and educating patients on eye health. A Texas license or eligibility is required; prior EHR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited institution.
• Current Texas optometry license or eligibility for licensure.
• Experience using electronic health records (EHR).

Responsibilities

• Perform eye examinations for patients of all ages.
• Diagnose and manage vision problems and eye diseases.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision correction solutions.
• Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records and provide a positive experience.
