You will install OS software, train Network Specialists, and supervise configurations while coordinating with senior staff and third-party vendors.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; four years’ LAN/WAN installation and maintenance experience.
College credits toward CS/IT may substitute for up to two years of experience.
Certifications (CNE, CCNA, MCE) may substitute for part of the experience.
Westchester County eligibles list preference for this title; exam eligibility required.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot LAN hardware and software during local network installations.
Install LAN operating system software and train staff on it.
Provide leadership for installation of application software and IT services.
Support third-party software vendors and ILS providers; interface with district personnel.
Lead network specialists across districts; analyze problems and suggest improvements.
Configure and upgrade network switching; evaluate changes with senior staff; research new LAN tech; train staff.
