Job summary

Kohl’s is seeking an Associate Network Engineer to support its enterprise network across stores, offices, data centers, and cloud environments. This hands-on role focuses on reliable, secure, and scalable network services for retail operations, including store connectivity, routing, wireless, SD-WAN, and network automation.

You will collaborate with network engineers, security, cloud, and store technology teams to troubleshoot issues, implement changes, and document processes.

Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPNs, ACLs).
• Exposure to enterprise networking operations, infrastructure support, or internships.
• Ability to follow documented procedures for network changes and incident response.
• Strong communication to explain technical issues to technical and non-technical teams.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and participate in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise and retail network technologies including wireless, switching, SD-WAN, routing, and internet connectivity.
• Troubleshoot store systems, wireless clients, POS connectivity, DNS/DHCP, and firewall issues.
• Follow documented steps for network changes, validation, and rollback when needed.
• Assist with hands-on activities in office, lab, and data center environments.
• Monitor alerts, review logs, gather data, and document issues with clear notes.
