Job summary

Kohl's is seeking a Systems Engineer to design, develop and maintain robust systems and services in a dynamic computing environment, using both cloud-based and on‑prem tools to deliver scalable, reliable and secure solutions. You will implement software engineering best practices, collaborate across teams to drive innovation, and develop, implement and support systems to ensure robust operations.

Qualifications

Experience with infrastructure/systems lifecycle methodology and scripting as appropriate for area of expertise.
2+ years of experience in systems engineering.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in MIS, Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

Implement software engineering best practices and ensure system performance and security.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Develop, implement and support systems and services to ensure robust and reliable operations.
Execute project tasks for systems and applications, focusing on optimizing efficiency and functionality.
Manage upgrades, migrations, optimizations and new implementations and resolve efficiency issues.
Write scripts, templates, interfaces and utility applications to improve functionality and automate processes.
Develop, test, troubleshoot and document new and enhanced systems and processes.
Provide level three support for areas of expertise.
Additional tasks may be assigned.
