Confidential is seeking an Associate Mortgage Underwriter to join our growing team in Pittsburgh. This role targets candidates with 1–3 years of residential underwriting experience to further develop expertise, review loan files, and ensure guideline compliance.

You will analyze income, assets, credit reports, and debt-to-income ratios, collaborate with loan officers, and ensure adherence to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, and company guidelines.

Qualifikationen

• 1–3 years of residential mortgage underwriting experience.
• Knowledge of conventional, FHA, and VA mortgage products.
• Familiarity with agency guidelines, lending regulations, and mortgage compliance.

Aufgaben

• Review mortgage loan files for completeness, accuracy, and guideline compliance.
• Analyze income, assets, credit reports, employment history, and debt-to-income ratios.
• Evaluate loan documentation to determine borrower eligibility and creditworthiness.
• Identify and assess lending risks while making underwriting recommendations.
• Issue conditional approvals and review conditions submitted by borrowers.
• Ensure loans meet agency and investor underwriting guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA).
• Communicate with loan officers, processors, and other stakeholders regarding loan conditions.
• Maintain quality, productivity, and turnaround time standards.
• Stay current with mortgage regulations and industry best practices.
• Assist with escalated file reviews and special underwriting projects.
