Are you a relational leader who is passionate about seeing High School and Middle School students grow in their relationship with Jesus?

Do you love pouring into volunteers, and seeing them growing, equipped, and empowered to serve God to their fullest?

Would you get excited to be a key part of the strategic development of ministry programs, events, and initiatives to help sustain a dynamic student ministry?

The ideal candidate for this full-time role will be a passionate, relational, student ministries pastor with significant leadership skills. This person will serve as the leader and pastor of our youth ministries.

This is a Full-Time position and will work in cooperation with the Senior Minister and other church staff to help provide a total ministry to the MCC congregation and the Mahomet community. This position shall oversee all aspects of children and youth ministry from Nursery through the 12th grade. The Assoc. Minister of Youth will help our church family reach, love, and make disciples of our children and youth while disciplining them in order that they achieve spiritual growth.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Immersed Believer in Christ
2. An evident ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ.
3. Bachelor's degree in theology, biblical studies, or youth ministry (Preferred but not required).
4. An engaging teacher and a strong biblical leader, who is in agreement with Mahomet Christian Church’s doctrine and beliefs.
5. Previous youth ministry experience is an advantage.
6. Proficient understanding of challenges and needs of young people.
7. Excellent computer skills, and proficiency with social media.
8. Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
9. Excellent organizational skills.
10. Affinity for young people.
11. Ability to lead by example.
12. Available to work extended hours, evenings, over weekends and public holidays, and on short notice.
