Job summary

Aztalan Bio LLC is seeking an Associate Merchandiser to support procurement of corn for ethanol production and merchandising of co-products in Jefferson, WI. This full-time role includes a strong benefits package, medical/dental/vision, PTO, sick time, and monthly bonuses.

The position involves market analysis, risk management, and travel to farms and industry events. You will work with suppliers, customers, and logistics teams to optimize commodity values and ensure reliable plant operations,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
• Interest or experience in agriculture, grain, ethanol, or commodity trading preferred.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Comfortable negotiating and operating in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong numerical aptitude and interest in commodity markets and risk management.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with multitasking ability.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise corn and ethanol co-products.
• Negotiate commodity transactions and build relationships with suppliers and end-users.
• Monitor markets including futures, basis levels, spreads, and logistics.
• Assist with contracting, hedging, and position management.
• Coordinate inbound deliveries and outbound shipments.
• Research and interpret market data to identify opportunities.
• Maintain records of contracts, pricing, deliveries, and customers.
• Collaborate with Operations, Accounting, Customer Service, and Logistics.
• Represent Aztalan Bio at farms, customer locations, and events with travel.
