Job summary

Aquent is partnering with a global leader in entertainment and consumer products to hire a junior designer in Glendale, CA. You will contribute to product development and storytelling, shaping consumer experiences across brands.

Join a dynamic team, support design approvals, and maintain brand integrity while growing skills in Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft 365, and Keynote. Training is provided to develop talent.

Qualifications

• Design degree or equivalent background.
• 1–2 years of professional experience or entry-level standing.
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat).
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with Mac applications, including Keynote.

Responsibilities

• Execute product approvals for on-demand merchandise and print-on-demand items through online systems and collaborative meetings.
• Ensure high-quality design execution, maintaining brand integrity and storytelling.
• Assist in onboarding new external partners.
• Collaborate with design manager on product design and approvals.
• Manage product submissions for creative reviews and approvals within an online system.
• Organize and maintain product and market sample collections.
• Build relationships with external and internal partners, overseeing creative aspects of development.
• Multi-task and prioritize multiple design projects to meet deadlines.

What You’ll Do

As a vital member of the design team, you will contribute to the entire product development lifecycle, ensuring creative excellence and brand consistency. Your work will directly influence the quality and appeal of consumer products, from concept to approval.

• Execute product approvals for on-demand merchandise and print-on-demand items through online systems and collaborative meetings.
• Ensure high-quality standards in design execution, maintaining strong brand integrity, in-depth storytelling, and optimal use of color, material, form, and function.
• Assist in the onboarding process for new external partners.
• Collaborate closely with the design manager on product design and approval processes.
• Manage product submissions for creative reviews and approvals within an online system.
• Organize and maintain comprehensive product and market sample collections.
• Build and nurture relationships with external and internal partners, overseeing all creative aspects of product development.
• Effectively multi-task and prioritize multiple design projects to meet established deadlines.

Must-Have Qualifications

• A design degree or equivalent background.

• Demonstrated strong design sense and excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat).
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with Mac applications, including Keynote.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• A focus on 2D concept designs and understanding of production stages.
• Knowledge of franchise expertise.
• An understanding of materials and textiles.
