Job summary

Labcorp in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Associate Medical Technologist to join the Targeted Cell Isolation team. Schedule: Tue-Sat 1pm-9:30pm and rotating Tue-Fri 11am-9:30pm.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a chemical/biological science or Medical Technology, with ASCP/AMT certification preferred. Candidates should be able to work independently or as part of a team and adapt to overtime or other shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical/biological science or Medical Technology
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE

Education

Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
