Position Summary

The Associate Market Manager plays a key role in the overall management of all aspects of the Market. Job functions include retaining employees, managing risk, driving revenue growth, increasing profitability, maintaining a superior and consistent level of client service, developing cohesive teams, and providing consistent leadership. The Associate Market Manager helps ensure proper fiscal management, personnel management, morale, and business ethics and compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations. The role reports directly to the Market Executive.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead by example, maintaining a positive morale, personal growth, and ethical business practices.
  • Identify trends, growth opportunities, and weaknesses, and address them to position the Market strategically.
  • Leverage the firm’s resources to achieve success.
  • Lead the Market’s sales and growth initiatives.
Team Building
  • Build an effective team across the Market by communicating relevant information and conducting meetings.
  • Participate in market and region initiatives, including sales, hiring, recruitment, diversity, and community outreach.
  • Grow the Market through hiring, lateral recruiting, and training.
Product / Business Knowledge
  • Understand firmly the firm’s products and those of strategic partners; use this knowledge to guide sales.
  • Direct sales force to efficient resources and improve the sales process.
  • Apply product/business knowledge to recruiting efforts.
Accountability
  • Lead the Market’s financial and sales performance, including expense management.
  • Assist with regulatory, legal, and compliance issues, risk management, and legal practices.
  • Create and administer the Annual Supervisory Plan for the Market.
  • Contribute to establishing a core compliance model in supervised offices.
Sales / Marketing
  • Seek opportunities to grow business and drive sales via firm initiatives.
  • Assist the Market Executive in driving corporate marketing initiatives to increase market share in High Net Worth households.
Education & Experience
  • At least 4 years of experience as a Financial Advisor with a satisfactory production and compliance record, or comparable product area or management experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
Licenses & Registrations
  • Active Series 7, 8 (or 9 and 10), 66 (or 63 and 65), and 3 registrations (Series 31 acceptable if Branch conducts managed futures business only).
  • Other licenses as required for the role or by management.
