Job summary

Amgen is hiring an Automation Maintenance Technician for a 6PM–6AM shift at the New Albany, OH site. You will provide technical engineering support for system optimization, upgrades and regulatory alignment in a GMP environment.

The role requires strong PLC/HMI, SCADA/PLC experience and collaboration across regulatory, calibration, quality, and operations teams. Flexible work models may apply; strong problem solving expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of technical engineering experience if only an Associate degree.
• High school diploma or GED with 6 years technical engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete advanced maintenance activities on complex plant equipment.
• Use PLC/HMI tools to diagnose and troubleshoot automated systems.
• Coordinate tech support across engineering, regulatory, calibration, and quality teams.
• Assist during regulatory inspections and respond to FDA requests.
• Maintain spare parts inventory for equipment and systems.
• Improve maintenance procedures and troubleshoot failures.
• Interpret P&IDs and related utility/ Process diagrams.
• Support 24-hour operations including non-standard shifts.
