Job summary

Alcon Fort Worth is seeking a production-focused professional to support assembly, shaping, processing and packaging activities onsite. You will coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, and Sales to create efficient production schedules and deploy labor and capital resources.

You will help maintain equipment uptime, participate in quality investigations, and drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen methods.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; English fluency required.
  • Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English.
  • Experience in manufacturing/production environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in leading production activities, including assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging to meet specifications and targets.
  • Communicate with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, and other departments to develop production schedules and allocate resources.
  • Assist in planning, prioritizing, and managing production line maintenance efficiency and downtime to minimize disruptions.
  • Lead or participate in quality investigations and deliver continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen).
  • Lead Continuous Improvement Projects to enhance products, services, efficiency and cost.

In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Assist in leading production activities, including assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging to meet established specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards.
  • Communicate with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, and other departments to develop production schedules and allocate labor/capital resources.
  • Assist in planning, prioritizing, and managing production line maintenance efficiency and downtime to minimize disruptions.
  • Lead or participate in quality investigations and deliver continuous improvement including investigative and technical writing.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement Projects in an effort to enhance products, services, efficiency, cost for improvement through methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen.
  • Assure a safe work environment.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs; Assoc.+4 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

Location: Onsite, Fort Worth, TX

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

Travel Requirements: 0 – 10%
