Job summary

QinetiQ US is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to sustain and improve manufacturing processes, assist in work cell layouts, review equipment and test fixtures to boost throughput and reduce cycle times, and troubleshoot issues affecting production and delivery targets.

The role covers initiating, planning and sustaining daily operations, plus non-routine service contracts and repair of spare parts, supporting Maritime Systems, Unmanned Robots, and Warfighter protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and 0-2 years in manufacturing.
• Ability to solve problems logically and practically.
• Able to self-manage in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.
• Experience authoring and editing work instructions for operators.
• Strong technical writing skills are required.
• Proven ability to manage concurrent projects.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Excellent organization and time management with good communication.
• Hands-on experience expected and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes.
• Plans production line layouts for maximum efficiency and workflow.
• Advances work-breakdown efficiency with current staffing.
• Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
• Applies knowledge to innovate tooling, fixtures, and procedures.
• Supports builds in an AS9100 environment to control critical features.
