Job summary

IntePros seeks an Associate Engineer to support manufacturing processes, engineering projects, and daily production activities. The role will evaluate results, investigate issues, and implement improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

The Associate Engineer will support NPI, new equipment and process implementation, drawing reviews, and technical documentation, working with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, and other teams as an individual contributor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support for manufacturing processes and production activities.
  • Investigate manufacturing issues and support root-cause analysis.
  • Identify and implement continuous-improvement and cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Support New Product Introductions and product transfers into manufacturing.
  • Assist with the introduction, qualification, and validation of new equipment and processes.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
  • Create and update technical reports, procedures, work instructions, and other documentation.
  • Monitor manufacturing results and recommend improvements to quality, yield, cycle time, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, and other teams on engineering projects.
  • Complete assigned responsibilities independently with minimal supervision.

Job description

We are seeking an Associate Engineer to support manufacturing processes, engineering projects, and daily production activities. This role will evaluate manufacturing results, investigate process issues, and help implement improvements that enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

The Associate Engineer will also support New Product Introductions (NPI), new equipment and process implementation, engineering drawing reviews, and technical documentation. This is an individual contributor position offering the opportunity to work independently while collaborating with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, and other cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering support for manufacturing processes and production activities.
  • Investigate manufacturing issues and support root-cause analysis.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related technical field.
  • Working knowledge of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to understand technical procedures, specifications, systems, and drawings.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and other standard computer applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and collaborate across teams.
  • Recent graduates and early-career engineers are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in medical-device or another regulated manufacturing industry.
  • Exposure to New Product Introduction or manufacturing-process transfers.
  • Experience with technical writing, including SOPs, work instructions, protocols, or reports.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings, CAD, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
  • Knowledge of root-cause analysis, Lean manufacturing, or continuous-improvement methods.
  • Exposure to equipment or process validation, including IQ, OQ, or PQ.
