Job summary

Simon & Schuster's Corporate Marketing division is seeking an Associate Manager, Social Media & Audience Growth to help bring our books, authors, and stories to readers through engaging social content, community building, and audience development.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Social Media & Audience Growth, this role supports the day-to-day management of our corporate social channels while helping create compelling content, foster reader communities, and identify new opportunities for book

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, communications, or content marketing.
• Experience managing social media accounts for a brand, publisher, agency, or media company.
• Strong writing, editing, and copywriting skills.
• Experience creating social-first content, including photography, graphics, and short-form video.
• Familiarity with publishing and analytics platforms such as Sprout Social, Airtable, Meta Business Suite.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
• Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for experimenting with ideas.
• A passion for books, publishing, internet culture, and connecting readers to stories.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day strategy and execution for corporate social platforms (LinkedIn, X, Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook Groups).
• Maintain editorial calendars and monitor performance to improve engagement.
• Engage with audiences by monitoring comments and messages and escalating issues as needed.
• Identify opportunities to amplify frontlist/backlist titles and support campaigns.
• Create graphics, photography, short-form video, and written social content.
• Collaborate with Video Production and Design teams and support author events and book launches.
• Share audience insights with the team and help identify cultural moments for storytelling.
