Job summary

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. seeks an Associate Manager of Sequencing Informatics Research for the Regeneron Genetic Center in Tarrytown, NY. Lead development of sequencing informatics methods to maximize value from multi-omics data.

Work with Sequencing & Lab Operations and Production Informatics to onboard new platforms and ensure scalability for RGC samples. Requires a Master’s (PhD preferred) in Bioinformatics and 0-3 years in sequencing informatics, with on-site work four days per week.

Qualifications

• Master’s (PhD preferred) in Bioinformatics or equivalent.
• 0-3 years of experience in sequencing informatics methodology.
• Experience with large-scale multi-omics data types: DNA-seq, RNA-seq, proteomics, methylation.
• Expert fluency in state-of-the-art bioinformatic tools and standards.
• Demonstrated engagement in the sequencing bioinformatics community.
• Experience creating or adapting novel bioinformatic data structures and file formats.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of state-of-the-art methods to create multi-omics informatics best-practices.
• Identify opportunities combining multiple sequencing modalities to increase actionability.
• Inform development of novel sequencing informatics protocols for multiple platforms.
• Support collaboration with technology partners to improve base-calling, read mapping and variant calling.
• Collaborate with Genomics R&D, Engineering and Production to deploy methods as software.
