Job summary

Hearst Magazines is seeking a data‑driven performance marketer to drive paid acquisition programs across consumer businesses. You’ll optimize campaigns, analyze results, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet growth goals.

Based in New York City, you’ll work in the office four days a week and contribute to a high‑impact, fast‑paced environment, using analytics to inform decisions and improve efficiency, scale, and ROI across audiences and channels.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in performance marketing, paid media, growth marketing, digital acquisition, or a related area.
  • Hands-on experience executing and optimizing paid media campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills with campaign data to identify trends and optimize results.
  • Excellent attention to detail with multiple campaigns, priorities, budgets and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration across teams and translating data into insights.
  • Curious, test-and-learn mindset and interest in improving marketing performance.
  • Experience with consumer subscription, membership, or e-commerce is preferred.
  • This role is based in New York City and requires working in the office four days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day campaign setup, pacing, budgets, targeting, creative rotation, and optimizations.
  • Translate performance data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across marketing, editorial, analytics, and other teams.
  • Test and evaluate audiences, creative, messaging, placements, and other variables.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and campaign documentation; communicate results and next steps to stakeholders.
  • Stay current on paid media trends and opportunities to strengthen acquisition strategy.

Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)
  • Execute and optimizepaid media campaigns across key acquisition channels to efficiently grow memberships, email audiences, direct products, and brand licensing initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyzecampaign performance against acquisition goals, identifying trends and opportunities to improve efficiency, scale, and return on investment.
  • Manageday-to-day campaign setup, pacing, budgets, targeting, creative rotation, and ongoing optimizations with close attention to detail.
  • Translateperformance data into actionable insights and recommendations that inform campaign strategy and future investment decisions.
  • Partnerwith cross-functional stakeholders across consumer marketing, editorial, creative, analytics, and other teams to support business priorities and campaign goals.
  • Test and evaluateaudiences, creative, messaging, placements, and other campaign variables to identify opportunities for incremental growth.
  • Maintainaccurate reporting and campaign documentation while helping communicate results, learnings, and next steps to key stakeholders.
  • Stay currenton paid media trends, platform capabilities, measurement approaches, and emerging opportunities that can strengthen Hearst Magazines’ acquisition strategy.
Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)
  • 2+ years of experiencein performance marketing, paid media, growth marketing, digital acquisition, or a related area.
  • Hands-on experience executing and optimizing paid media campaigns, with an understanding of key performance metrics and acquisition economics.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with campaign data to identify trends, diagnose performance, and recommend next steps.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, priorities, budgets, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and translate data into clear, actionable insights.
  • A curious, test-and-learn mindset and enthusiasm for identifying new ways to improve marketing performance.
  • Experience with consumer subscription, membership, e-commerce, email acquisition, or other direct-to-consumer businesses is preferred.
  • This role is based inNew York Cityand requires working in the officefour days per week.

The base salary range for this role is $66,300-$70,000. This position is not eligible for bonus or commission compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
