Stagwell Inc. in New York City seeks an experienced HR Generalist to join our Global HR team. This role will support the global team with onboarding, benefits, employee relations, policy development, and implementing HR programs.

You will handle onboarding, orientation, benefits setup, payroll support, and offboarding while maintaining confidentiality and ensuring ISO-related HR initiatives. The position is hybrid, based in the NYC office, with cross-functional collaboration.

• 4+ years of progressive experience in HR, focusing on Talent Development, Talent Retention and Benefits.
• Experience onboarding, offboarding, benefits, diversity initiatives, etc.
• Knowledge of benefits administration, employee relations and labor laws.

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist in an exciting new opportunity to join our Global HR team. This position will be based in the New York City office. Working cross functionally, you will support the global team with a variety of HR responsibilities including benefits, employee relations, onboarding, policy development, and implementing HR programs.

What you'll be working on

• Work in the entire day-to-day cycle of HR: Onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, offboarding
• Own the onboarding process - Manage outreach with upcoming new hires via pre-onboarding
• Conduct Orientation for all new employees
• Support Open Enrollment communication and supporting employees with benefits questions and queries.
• Support team with payroll and benefits setup, introduction to talent tools and creation of accounts and office access.
• Own employee offboarding procedures including management of exits, termination of accounts, and collection of company assets.
• Contribute to employee relations and provide ongoing advice, support and resolution strategies on HR programs, policies etc. and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary or corrective actions.
• Ensure the effective execution of HR programs, processes, communications, and strategic initiatives.
• Lead Health and Safety training programs and support team with ISO compliance.
• Maintain our HRIS system and employee data.
• Support team with Diversity initiatives on a global level.
• Generate and track reports and data to help the HR director and team to make well-knowledgeable decisions in HR.

What you'll bring

• 4+ years of progressive experience in HR, focusing on Talent Development, Talent Retention and Benefits.
• Experience conducting onboarding, offboarding, benefits, diversity initiatives etc.
• Knowledge and experience with benefits administration, employee relations and labor laws.
• Ability to be able to support employees with benefits questions and queries.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong people and leadership skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels, being people advisors for employees and managers.
• Ability to motivate, educate and empower others in a collaborative and productive team environment.
• Ability to execute and evaluate HR processes, policies and initiatives and constantly improve them.
• Ability to work independently, and as part of a cross functional team.
• Detail oriented, including the ability to manage multiple tasks with an eye for detail.
• Responsible for dealing with confidential matters and employees’ data.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations and maintain a high degree of confidentiality, being ethical in all matters.
• Passionate about learning and development, attending related conferences, webinars and events and keeping HR knowledge up to date, bringing innovative ideas and projects to improve global workforce.
• Post-Secondary education and a degree/certificate in Human Resources Management is an asset.

To comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target compensation for this role is $100,000 to $130,000 USD per year. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, qualifications, job performance, level of experience, location, and business needs.
