Placer County Office of Education is seeking an Associate Manager to provide strategic leadership for Resource & Referral, Family Child Care Home Network, and Early Head Start services in Placer County. Qualifications

  • Grant-funded position, renewal through June 30, 2027.
  • Must possess a valid California driver’s license.
  • Must possess a California Child Development Program Director Permit.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least three years of experience in case management, administration or implementation of early childhood education programs funded by the California Department of Education or California Department of Social Services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for Resource & Referral, Family Child Care Home Network, and Early Head Start.
  • Ensure coordinated and integrated support for children, families, and providers.
  • Align programs across grants and contracts; promote quality improvement, inclusion, coaching and family engagement.

General Purpose

Full Time

The Associate Manager position provides strategic leadership and oversight for Resource & Referral, Family Child Care Home Network, and Early Head Start services, ensuring a coordinated and integrated approach to supporting children, families, and providers throughout Placer County. Strong knowledge of Head Start and Early Head Start programs, requirements, and best practices is strongly preferred. This structure promotes alignment across grants and contracts, consistency in provider supports, and shared implementation of quality improvement, inclusion, coaching, and family engagement practices. By leveraging the interconnected nature of these programs, PCOE is able to build a stronger early learning system that expands access, improves quality, and creates positive outcomes for children, families, and the early childhood workforce.

Requirements / Qualifications
  • This position is grant funded which is renewed under the provisions of the grantor of the contract. The current grant is funded through June 30th, 2027. Your position, therefore, is contingent upon continuation of funding of these grants and satisfactory job performance****
  • Must possess a valid California driver's license issued by the State department of Motor Vehicles.
  • Must possess a valid California Child Development Program Director Permit.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a job-related area is preferred.
  • At least three years of increasingly responsible experience in case management, administration or implementation of early childhood education programs and initiatives funded by the California Department of Education or California Department of Social Services.
