Job Description Location: New York, NY Associate Manager, Creative Development - AD Overview: Architectural Digest is seeking an Associate Manager, Creative Development to join our dynamic, fast-paced video team. This critical role will work closely with creative teams on original video series and franchises featuring home design and lifestyle content across all platforms (ie YouTube, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram, more), with a focus on supporting development and production of premium, scalable quality programming. The Associate Producer, Creative Development will also support video development and production as needed, providing creative and general support across pre-production, post-production, and on-set responsibilities during shoots as needed. This role reports into the Executive Director, Video Programming.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support development and production of original content and stories for all platforms.
  • Participate in creative solutions meetings around various programming initiatives within the home design category.
  • Coordinate visual editorial standards, working with the creative group and content/audience teams.
  • Collaborate with optimization, planning, editorial, aud dev, and analysis teams to engage existing fans and appeal to new audiences and advertisers.
  • Coordinate content strategy and creative for AD social and short-form channels, aligning with brand editorial priorities and home design trends, working with key stakeholders.
  • Support senior team leads on research, casting and brainstorms for approved concepts and projects within the shelter and related category.
  • Work collaboratively across the entire creative production team.
  • Track projects and scheduling, and flag any issues including around deadlines.
  • Build preliminary budgets with the assistance/supervision of Production Management.
  • Prepare for shoots, location pick ups, returns, props and crafty.
  • Coordinate production logistics so all needs and gear requirements are met before the shoot.
  • Assist with contracts and releases for Production Management to review and approve.
  • Create call sheets and assist with casting requests.
  • Capture notes and track continuity issues during pre production, production, and post production.
  • On site, work alongside the creative production team capturing all necessary information, b-roll shots, props shots, artwork or Fair-Use shots during shoots, as well as script notes and shot lists.
  • Support production crews with load-in/strike.
  • Collaborate with Post Production on all required assets including music research, stills/images, and clips.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience creating, producing, and developing digital videos across various platforms with lifestyle or interiors brands.
  • Keen interest in design and interiors and working knowledge of top interior designers/influencers is a must.
  • Excellent understanding of what works on various social platforms and hands on experience in creating and developing social content for interiors and lifestyle brands.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects at the same time under tight deadlines and fixed resources.
  • Full understanding of production and post-production workflows.
  • Must have superior written and verbal skills, and communicate with top talent and contributors.
  • Must be a solutions-oriented problem solver.
  • Must demonstrate a collaborative mindset.
  • Deep understanding of internet culture, with expertise in design, celebrity, lifestyle, and culture content, and what performs across platforms.

The expected base salary range for this position is from $63,000 - $80,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates may also be eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation. This is a guild position.
