Job summary

CONMED Corporation in Largo, FL is seeking a dedicated machinist to produce parts that meet required specifications using manual and CNC equipment. You will follow established procedures, read basic blueprints, and operate machines set up for each operation.

You will perform measurements with calipers and micrometers, help with preventative maintenance, and identify issues to ensure defect-free parts. The role supports a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for skills development.

Qualifications

Job description

Purpose: Produce parts that meet requirements using a variety of manual and/or automated equipment through established procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with basic metrology (calipers, micrometers) preferred.
• Basic blueprint reading experience preferred.

Other Attributes

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, read basic blueprints or mechanical drawings, use shop math, and operate various types of production machines.
• Ability to produce parts at the rate established for a particular operation.
• Ability to accurately use basic machine shop measuring devices.
