Job summary

CONMED Corporation in Florida is seeking a Supervisor to manage day-to-day operations of the Precision Machining Operation (PMO) on the 2nd shift, onsite, to meet production goals safely and at low cost.

You will allocate labor to machine centers, report KPIs to senior leadership, develop staffing plans, drive process improvements, participate in hiring decisions, and ensure safety policies are followed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years leadership in regulated manufacturing.
• Excel experience.

Job description

TheSupervisor will oversee day-to-day operations of assigned employees in thePrecision Machining Operation (PMO) to ensure production objectives are safely achieved at the lowest cost consistent with quality requirements.

This is an onsite, 2nd Shift position

Key responsibilities

Allocating resources as necessary in an agile production environment to meet current demand, acting as liaison between managerial objectives and on the floor labor management, and supporting managerial visibility through daily production reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate the allocation of employees to appropriate machine centers in response to current needs based on customer demand.
• Ensure that daily operations in the manufacturing facility are aligned with corporate objectives while adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Communicate machining capabilities and capacities to senior management and assist in the development of short-term and long-range objectives.
• Ensure functional strategies and specific objectives for Operations are being met efficiently and on-time.
• Regularly report out on relevant KPIs to senior leadership.
• Develop and implement staffing plans that result in a highly skilled and flexible workforce.
• Proactively develop and implement process improvements for Operations that will positively impact the business.
• Participate in interviews, employment and termination of employees; perform and instruct employees in conducting performance appraisals, recommend raises.
• Actively ensure all safety policies, procedures and goals are met.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree
• 2+ years of leadership experience in regulated manufacturing environment.
• Excel experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 10 years experience in CNC Machining environment.
