Job summary

Genesis Family Inc. in Southeast Houston is seeking an Associate Licensed Therapist to support families and individuals within a biblically-based nonprofit. The role involves in-person and telehealth sessions with a typical day centered on 5–6 clients and thorough notes to close the day.

You will operate in a mission-driven environment, grow professionally, and may specialize in Marketing, clinical research, or volunteer work for the nonprofit. Office locations include Webster and Kingwood, TX.

This is what you’ll do as a therapist at Genesis Family:

As a therapist, you are responsible for providing mental health care to clients. You will see roughly 5-6 clients for each day you work with us, but never more than 30 per week, when working fulltime. A typical day consists out walking into the office, consulting any matters with your colleagues, and then diving into your hour long sessions. After your sessions, you finish writing the notes you had for a day. Once you finish your administrative duties, you can specialize in another area of your choosing: Marketing, clinical research or volunteer work for our non-profit organization.

In terms of a profile, we are looking for a highly motivated individual, someone who understands our mission and value and subscribes to our core beliefs in restoring the family unit to God’s original design. We are looking for a therapist with a passion for helping the family unit as a whole, which means you enjoy working with children, teens, young adults, married couples, etc. Of course, every therapist has his/her preference in clientele, but you understand that restoring mental health in families is the key to mental health for each individual in the long run. We are looking for someone who has a hands‑on mentality, strong social skills and likes to have innovative ideas on how to improve our treatment plans or organizational growth.

This is where you will work:

Genesis Family Inc. is a professional mental health non‑profit organization; right now, it consists out of a team of numerous LPC's, LMFT's and Life/Recovery coaches. We are growing exponentially, and getting clients is not going to be an issue for us. We do want to make sure that everyone’s work‑life balance is in order, and that means that our organization does not do crisis calls/interventions. We all work hard when we are on the job, but also believe in respecting our team’s private life when we are off the clock. Our working hours are from Monday to Friday 9AM – 6PM, and on Saturday from 9AM – 5PM. On Sunday’s we are closed, and obviously we will discuss what other day you would like as your weekend day.

We currently have office locations in:

- Webster, TX.

- Kingwood, TX.

Job Requirements

• You are a Licensed therapist (either provisionally licensed as an associate in your final year or fully licensed) in the state of Texas (BHEC).
• You have a strong interest in becoming a Biblically Based Mental Health Counselor, rooted in the Word of God.
• You are willing to see both clients in person as well as virtual (telehealth), although the majority of our clients do come in person.
• You are excited about working with different groups of people, ages and demographics.
• You are willing to work Saturdays initially, but you’ll be free another day of the week in return. (If you prefer to changes this to Monday-Friday, you can choose to do so after an initial onboarding period and meeting your targets)
• You recognize yourself in the mission and vision statement of our organization, as well as our statement of faith (these can be found on our website, www.genesis-family.com).
• A starting salary between 4,583.3 – 6,600.00 per month (50 – 80K per year), depending on your license and experience. (Based on a 40-hour workweek.)
• The ability to work part‑time or fulltime, with a minimum of 24 hours per week.
• 15 days of Paid Time Off (pro‑rated to your working hours) per year. For every quarter that you do not call in sick, you get an additional day of PTO.
• A fully paid health plan through ZION Health Share to pay for any medical needs you might have, with an IUA of $1000. This means that within this coverage, you will never pay more than $1000 for your medical expenses. (Please find the ZION website for their terms and conditions). You do not have to contribute any salary to this coverage. NOTE: You have the option to be subscribed to this plan after working with us for 90 days. (when working >32+ hours)
• If you are an associate/provisionally licensed, we will pay for your supervision (when working >32+ hours).
