Job summary

Stark Aerospace in North Carolina is seeking an Assembly Technician to construct mechanical, structural, and electronic components and accessories. You will read engineering instructions, interpret work orders, and apply precision measurements to ensure quality.

The role requires using hand and power tools, knowledge of pneumatics and wiring, and attention to detail to deliver conforming work on schedule.

Qualifications

Job description


  • Performs assembly of mechanical, structural, and electronic components and accessories, using hand and power tools.

  • Reads and interprets engineering instructions, specifications, and work orders.

  • Uses precision measuring instruments and tools required for the tasks.

  • Inspects work for conformance to specifications.

  • Completes all work correctly and in a timely manner.


Required Skills/Abilities:


  • Ability to use hand and power tools with precision.

  • Working knowledge of pneumatics.

  • Working knowledge of wire harness and electronics installation.

  • Working knowledge of acceptance testing and troubleshooting.

  • Basic shop math in metric and imperial units.

  • Work well both independently and with others.

  • Able to identify issues and determine solutions in a timely manner.

  • Organized with attention to detail.


Physical Requirements:


  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

  • Able to bend, stretch, work with hands, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.

  • Must be able to visually inspect machines.

  • Must be able to wear required safety equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, and respirator as needed.

  • Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.


Education and Experience:


  • High School or GED. Vocational, or Community College degree preferred.

  • Demonstrated work experience in a similar position.

  • Must be a U.S. person as defined by 22 U.S.C. §6010.
