Job summary

The NC Real Estate Commission is seeking a motivated attorney to serve as legal counsel on straightforward disciplinary cases and occasional civil litigation, conduct settlement negotiations, and manage investigations carried out by Commission auditors/investigators. You will advise consumer protection staff, investigate complaints, draft legal documents, and present cases before the Commission.

You will also conduct legal research related to licensing and professional discipline and stay

You will also conduct legal research related to licensing and professional discipline and stay current on Commission policies and actions.

This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent judgment, and effective communication with licensees, Commission members, and the public. Work is performed under the general guidance of the Director and Assistant Director of Regulatory Affairs.

Salary: $82198 - $98638 per year
