We are seeking an Associate Developer to support software development, sustainment, and modernization efforts for systems supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This role is ideal for an early‑career software developer who is eager to learn enterprise application development and work within a complex federal healthcare environment.
The Associate Developer will support both legacy Java‑based applications and modernization initiatives, working alongside senior engineers to implement enhancements, resolve defects, develop integrations, and support modernization activities. The primary focus of this role will be supporting existing enterprise applications while gaining exposure to modern cloud‑native and microservices architecture.
Standard business hours are Monday through Friday. Occasional extended or weekend hours may be required based on operational needs. Must have reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting.
The base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on geographic work location, relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, security clearance, and contract requirements.
