Job summary

Secretariat seeks Associates to join our growing economics team, delivering rigorous analyses for high-profile matters in law, finance, and regulation. You will work with economists, statisticians, and analysts on data-driven projects for prestigious clients.

Current students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, mathematics, or related field may start between January 2027 and September 2027. Strong analytical and communication skills required; sponsorship not offered.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, mathematics, or related field
  • Ability to start between January 2027 and September 2027
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5
  • Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in Stata, Python, or R
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience analyzing data and information to extract insights
  • Motivation to exceed expectations
  • Creativity, innovation, and intellectual curiosity
  • Organization, accuracy, and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the US with no need for sponsorship in the future

Responsibilities

  • Building quantitative models using financial and/or data applications
  • Identifying and synthesizing research on marketplace dynamics, conduct of market participants, and competitive performance
  • Assembling, processing, andanalysing raw economic, financial, and operational data
  • Assisting with crafting analytical arguments; drafting reports, memoranda, and letters
  • Assisting with creating professional-grade presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint or similar software
  • Constructing econometric models using statistical software such as R or Stata (and in certain cases, advanced computer programming using programs such as Python)

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are currently seeking Associates to join our growing team of economists, statisticians, accountants, and financial analysts. We apply our expertise to solve challenging problems - our projects involve high-stakes matters that provide an opportunity to work with prestigious law firms, government entities, Fortune 500 companies, and high-growth corporations in a dynamic, team-based organization.

Prospective candidates must possess a strong academic record, excellent analytical and quantitative skills, the ability to work effectively in teams, remarkable communication skills, creativity, and drive to succeed.
