Job summary

Secretariat is expanding its Global Engineering and Scientific consulting practice, seeking a senior professional in Electrical Engineering to drive business development and lead expert-witness and strategic engagements.

You will mentor electrical engineering staff, oversee project budgets, and collaborate with world-class clients across automotive, electronics, and energy sectors from Chicago or New York offices.

Qualifications

  • Established track record in business development with existing client base.
  • PhD or MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science & Engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Experience with power electronics and control systems.
  • Willingness to travel globally and work odd hours.
  • Strong report writing and analytical skills.

  • Attracting and winning new business opportunities for Secretariat in expert witness and strategic consulting.
  • Contributing to growth of Electrical Engineering practice by recruiting staff.

ABOUT OUR GLOBAL ENGINEERING SCIENCES TEAM

As part of our expanding Global Engineering and Scientific consulting team, you will work at the forefront of today’s most complex engineering challenges. You will be engaged in analyzing failures of a myriad of products from a variety of industries from automotive, construction, consumer products, consumer electronics and medical devices to name a few. Secretariat leverages our diverse technical expertise, and industry knowledge of a variety of structures and products to provide clients with world-class value to identify solutions that drive performance and safety.
This position is available in either our Chicago or New York office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Exceptional analytical skills, problem solving, communication skills, and creativity are the foundation for successful professionals at Secretariat.

  • Attracting and winning new business opportunities for Secretariat in both expert witness and or strategic consulting
  • Contributing to the growth of Secretariat’s Electrical Engineering practice by recruiting talented staff
  • Mentoring and driving growth of Electrical Engineering staff
  • Providing project management and project budget oversight

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Established track record for business development and existing client-base
  • Requisite professional degrees:
  • PhD or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Physicsor Computer Science & Engineering
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience with Power electronics, Industrial process control, consumer products, circuit analysis,control system is a plus
  • The ability to travel globally as needed.
  • The ability to work odd hours to adjust to client needs globally
  • Strongreport writing skills to complement analytics
  • Able to quickly assimilate relevant information in unfamiliar situations and develop creative approaches and solutions necessary to resolve complex problems
  • The ability to manage and prioritize your time and your team’s time, potentially against a backdrop of competing deadlines

At Secretariat, we believe in pay transparency and equity. Compensation for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, and location. Further details will be provided during the hiring process.

Pay Transparency

$135,000 — $160,000 USD
