Job summary

Intramotev is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to help power our self‑propelled battery‑electric railcars and vehicles. The role starts with six months on the shop floor as an electrical technician—building and installing high‑voltage wiring from run lists, schematics, and BOMs—and then transitions to harness documentation and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands-on HV wiring experience.
• Foundational understanding of high‑voltage electrical systems and safe practice.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wire run lists, and technical drawings.
• Hands‑on aptitude with vehicle wiring and harness assembly on the shop floor.
• Attention to proper installation and documentation methods for maintainability.
• Willingness to spend the first six months hands‑on as a technician.

Responsibilities

• Build wire harnesses, assemble panels and backplanes, and install high‑voltage wiring on the shop floor.
• Work safely around high‑voltage systems with proper isolation, PPE, and lockout/tagout.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wire run lists, and technical drawings.
• Grow into ownership of harness documentation and revision control.
• Coordinate outsourcing of harness fabrication and validate delivered work against spec.
