Job summary

Quartermaster is seeking an Associate HR Generalist to support the rapidly scaling team across the employee lifecycle, onboarding, HR admin, HRIS maintenance, and benefits/compliance. You will be a primary contact for employee inquiries and help build scalable HR processes with a personal touch in a fast-growing startup environment.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, discretion, and strong communication skills, with hybrid work at our Arlington, VA office and opportunities for growth

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end onboarding and offboarding with IT, Recruiting, and managers for a seamless experience.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity, keep org charts and compensation records accurate.
• Serve as first point of contact for benefits, policies, leave requests, and HR processes.
• Administer benefits programs, open enrollment, broker coordination, and leave management.
• Support compliance by monitoring labor laws, updating handbooks, and managing files.
• Coordinate performance cycles, collect employee feedback, and drive training initiatives.
• Support seamless transition from offer to Day 1 onboarding with Talent Acquisition.
• Drive culture programs and employee engagement events to maintain a positive workplace.
