Eckert & Ziegler Isotope Products seeks an Associate Health Physicist to join our team. The Associate Health Physicist reports to Supervising Health Physicist, who provides administrative and technical guidance. The Associate Health Physicist is responsible for hands-on and daily support of the laboratory chemists and for specifically assigned aspects of the radiological safety program. Performs routine surveillance procedures to ensure manufacturing work is conducted in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and policies. Recognize, evaluate and control ionizing radiation exposure to employees, visitors and the general public. Provides support for non-radiological safety programs. Assists and guides Health Physics Technicians.
Minimum education (or substitute experience) required: BS degree in Health Physics (or related field) with radiological laboratory experience; Masters degree in Health Physics or related subject preferred.
Minimum experience required: 1-2 years of experience in Health Physics-related activities, general laboratory safety, or advanced degree in related fields.
