Job summary

Yoh is seeking a Health Physicist in St. Louis, MO, to support radiation safety across manufacturing and support organizations. The role involves developing and implementing safety programs, advising on projects, and managing the Radiation Protection Program with metrics and corrective actions.

Requires a BS in Physical Sciences or Engineering with 3+ years of experience; MS preferred. CHP accreditation is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Sciences (physics, chemistry, biology, etc.) or Engineering with 3 years of professional experience.
• Master of Science degree in physical sciences or engineering preferred.
• Certified Health Physicist (CHP) accreditation preferred.
• Solid knowledge of radiation safety regulations (NRC, DOE, EPA, DOT).
• Experience with software for dose assessment and shielding modeling is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the Health Physics group for radiation safety and other EHS issues.
• Assist in development and implementation of radiation safety programs for regulatory compliance.
• Serve as radiation safety technical advisor to product development and projects.
• Develop technical basis documents for regulatory compliance and program changes.
• Oversee Radiation Protection Program, including metrics, actions and oversight.
• Develop and manage dose and contamination reduction initiatives.
• Support Emergency Response Plans development and implementation.
• Develop and oversee Radiation Work Permits and related documentation.
• Provide periodic reports to Radiation Safety Committee and site management.

Yoh is hiring a Health Physicist for our Pharmaceutical Manufacturing client in St. Louis, Missouri.

JobFunctions

Education/Experience Requirements: Work Schedule: Will train on 1st shift and then transition to a 2nd shift 4pm - 12:30am Friday through Tuesday schedule.

• Support the Health Physics group to the manufacturing and support organizations for all radiation safety and other EHS related issues.
• Assist in the developmentand implementation of radiation safety programs and practices for compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Serve as radiation safety technical advisor to product development and associated projects.
• Develop technical basis documents for regulatory compliance, program recommendations, or changes in practice.
• Assistwith the implementation, maintenance and oversight of the Radiation Protection Program. This includes, but is not limited to, program management, metric development and tracking, and proactive corrective actions.
• Develop, implement and manage dose and contamination reduction initiatives.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Emergency Response Plans.
• Develop and maintain oversight of Radiation Work Permits.
• Provide periodic reports and documentation materials for review by the Radiation Safety Committee and site management as necessary.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Sciences (physics, chemistry, biology, etc.) or Engineering with threeyears of professional experience is required. Master of Science degree in physical sciences (physics, chemistry, biology, etc.) or engineering preferred.
• Certified Health Physicist (CHP) accreditation by the American Board of Health Physics is preferred.
• Must possess technical background and knowledge of applicable radiation safety regulations (e.g., NRC, DOE, EPA, DOT).
• Experience and expertise in use of software systems used for dose assessment (e.g., CAP88, RASCAL, VARSKIN, IMBA) and radiation modeling and shielding (e.g., MicroShield, MCNP) are highly desirable.

Estimated Min Rate: $59500.00

Estimated Max Rate: $85000.00
