Job summary

Aechelon Technology, Inc. seeks an Associate Platform Engineer – Hardware to join our team in California. The role focuses on assembling, configuring, and qualifying PC-based workstations, servers, and embedded platforms, with emphasis on hands-on hardware engineering.

You will document results, troubleshoot issues across hardware, firmware, and drivers, and support prototypes through production readiness while collaborating with Platform Eng., Production, and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or associate degree with hands-on hardware experience.
• 2+ years assembling, testing, maintaining, or troubleshooting computer hardware.
• Working knowledge of PC/server hardware components and interfaces.
• Experience installing, configuring, upgrading hardware and drivers.
• Familiarity with BIOS/UEFI configurations and OS installation.
• Ability to execute test procedures and document results.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware integration, qualification, production readiness, and lifecycle support for PC/workstation/server/embedded platforms.
• Assemble, configure, upgrade, and maintain prototype and lab systems.
• Execute functional, compatibility, performance, power, thermal, reliability, and stress tests.
• Document results, analyze failures, and recommend follow-up actions.
• Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, drivers, and system-level issues; escalate as needed.
• Assist with qualification of new components and maintain BOMs and lab records.
• Support prototype builds, first articles, RMAs, and transition to manufacturing.
• Coordinate with Platform Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and vendors.
