Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience practicing privacy law in payments/financial services or consumer data
• Active US state bar membership and in-house counsel eligibility
• Ability to interface with product, engineering, risk and compliance teams

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on payment laws, financial services regulations, data privacy, consumer protection, and enforcement actions for existing products and new features
• Develop strategic approaches to launching payment products globally
• Assess legal risks and provide mitigation strategies to cross-functional teams
• Monitor regulatory developments in payments/financial services and advise on applicability
• Support engagement with regulators and policymakers on financial regulation
